Tournament Type: College Showcase featuring 18
and Under teams by invitation only. Each team will be assigned to
play in a bracket which consist of 6 teams. Each team will play
5 games playing each other once. The tournament will not
allow college players in 2008 tournament. The tournament
will be strictly a college recruiting tournament. Pitching distances
will be 43 feet from all pitching rubbers.
New
for 2008: The 2008 Pennsbury Tournament will feature two
brackets of 6 teams that will play at a site in Newtown, Pennsylvania,
approximately 8 miles from the Pennsbury Tournament location. This
will apply to "first-time" applicants of the Pennsbury
Tournament, bracket winners will receive automatic invitations to
the 2009 tournament.

Entry Fee: $625.00 (make checks payable to Pennsbury
Tournament)
Roster and Insurance: ASA Travel Permit, and
copy of team insurance must be mailed by April 15, 2008 to Tournament
Director. Failure to have both of these to the tournament director
will result in your team being replaced without receiving a refund.
Uniforms: Compliance with ASA rules will be enforced.

Roster Booklet: We will prepare the roster booklets with a deadline
of April 15, 2008. All teams will submit there forms from website
by April 15, 2008.

Message from the Tournament Director:
Dear Coaches:
We are delighted to continue the tradition of Art Coleman in his
memory with the Pennsbury Tournament. For each of the past twenty-seven
years, participants have acclaimed our Annual Invitational Tournament
for 18 and under girls fastpitch softball teams as one of the best
of the year. Teams from 19 states and Canada have attended the tournament.
Based upon last year's attendance by 210 college coaches, we anticipate
at least that many again. Since in the past we have received interest
from more than 72 teams which we have been able to accommodate,
we are no longer sending out invitations, but instead will select
the 72 teams by the tournament committee based upon past performance
in our tournament plus other invitational's and ASA tournaments
plus references from our contacts throughout the country.
If
you are planning to apply for entry into our 28th Annual Invitational,
please print the Entry Form included on this website. Return it
to the address shown on the Entry Form with your entry fee (check
in the amount of $625.00 payable to Pennsbury Tournament). Also
submit a summary of your team's recent performance.
Please
send your entry on September 15, 2007, and no later than December
1, 2007. Selections will be made by December 15, 2007 and successful
entries will be posted on this website on or about January 1, 2008.
Checks for successful teams will be deposited about February 1,
2008 and all other checks will be destroyed. Once your check has
been deposited, there will be no refunds.
The
tournament will start as early as 7:30 A.M. on Friday June 13. If
starting at that time will be a hardship, please explain with your
registration and we will attempt to accommodate you. Please be aware
that only a small number of teams (6) with such hardship will be
accepted into the tournament. If you fail to identify your hardship
with your entry and do so after the schedule is published, you may
be cancelled out of the tournament and replaced with a team from
our waiting list without receiving a refund.

As many of you are aware the tournament committee can control
many aspects of this tournament, but weather is not one of them.
